Think is the journal of the Royal Institute of Philosophy. It aims to bridge the gap between academic philosophy and the general public, and discusses a whole range of issue in a way that is free from jargon. Its website provides sample articles, to give you a flavour of what it has to offer. Think is edited by Stephen Law.
Julian Baggini - print media editor of tpm.
Philosophy Now, like the other two, covers a wide range of topics in a lively way. Like them, too, is has an extensive archive. Take a look at: The April / May issue 2010, illustrated here, has a range of articles on the New Atheism and the nature of belief - thought provoking, and of particular interest to me, as I'm working on a project examining whether or not religion really does need to be wedded to supernatural (or apparently supernatural) beliefs. Always readable, Philosophy Now is a wonderful introduction to the relevance and accessibility of philosophy. Pathways to Philosophy, the provider of distance learning courses in Philosophy, has an on-line journal, with free access to a range of articles. Log on to http://www.philosophos.com/index.html and take a look at the sample articles.

There are many scholarly journals for philosophy and ethics, but for students and those with a general interest in the subject, the magazines featured on this page feature a wide range of issues and are accessible to the non-specialist.
The only problem with these magazines, as far as I can see, is that life is just too short to keep up with all the interesting new material out there!
Holiday reading?
If you happen to be visiting France, pop into the local tabac (and yes - even quite small newsagents do have it) for a copy of Philosophie. Very attractive - even for those, like me, who have to work hard at reading French!
