The spiral staircase and reflections, City Hall, London.
The library; Augustus Pugin's house in Ramsgate - home of the designer of the rich interiors of the Houses of Parliament. Restored now by the Landmark Trust, it exudes the cosy warmth of the best Victorian architecture.
The same wallpaper design, using the Pugin motto, is used in different colours throughout the house.
And for something totally un-Puginesque... the National Tobacco Company building, in Napier, New Zealand. This is one of that city's many fine Art Deco buildings.
Or, from a different era, the wonderful mediaeval vaulting of the chapter house in the Abbey of Thoronet, in Provence.
The Getty Museum, a great sense of light and space, floating above Los Angeles
And a very different setting for culture - Cambridge, empty of students on a cold Sunday morning.
Flats - above, overlooking the Thames in London's Docklands, and below, behind Times Square in Hong Kong; a choice for some, the only option available for others.
Vertical in Hong Kong
The Hôtel Dieu, Beaune, France, with the coloured tiles typical of that region, and proximity to some fabulous vineyards!
